[BC] Matching jobs and engineers

The only thing there is a lack of is QUALIFIED engineers. You'll get
responses to a job posting -- just none for people that have the skills
necessary, or are undesirable to hire for other reasons. For the most part
the people that know their stuff are staying put, and their managers are
wisely keeping them happy because they know how difficult that search can be
if they decide to walk out the door.
All that being said, I surely wouldn't recommend anyone to get into
Broadcast Engineering, or any facet of Broadcasting for that matter at this
point. I talk to interns all the time at various stations that ask "what
should I do" I usually (half jokingly) respond "if you want to live a
comfortable life down the road, find a new career path to explore."
