Jeff

Get two really cheap GPS receivers on EBay. I paid around $20 for my no name
blob. Put one in a fixed location and have it transmit to the remote unit.
Put the second on the remote unit. Feed the two serial streams to a PIC chip
or similar microprocessor. Calculate the difference and use a look up table
to determine boundaries. Take one pin on the PIC chip for a contact closure.
