Yes.
I knew Jim (though I didn't know he had passed), and heard the same story from
him. From what I see, just about every radio station in the country is likely
violating OSHA rules-perhaps they should (the station) be informed of this for
their own protection.
After all, a many multi thousand diollar fine and criminal sanction isn't
exactly a fun thing!

Some of you may remember Jim Howard (now, I believe, deceased), the former CE
of WJIB/Boston (the 96.9 FM signal, not the WJIB currently owned by Bob
Bittner at 740 AM). Jim received a painful lesson, which he would relate to
anyone who asked him, about having to call someone's wife to deliver the worst
news possible.
