when i was in the air force, during the day we had to use the tags on
transmitting equipment, and there were always more than one person
around. but at night and the weekends and you were on call, there was
nobody there but you to fix all transmitting and receiving equipment
by yourself. no OSHA in that case.
there was always the one hand rule, keep one hand in your pocket, and
believe me that works. i was getting a tube laying on the inside
shelf of a rca transmitter. i know i didn't touch the output line of
the rectifier but i just came close enough to it to get a jolt from
it. and i had one hand at my side. talk about a wake up call.
anyone else do something foolish like that?
