   I trace the column back to see where they are getting in the building and put "Terro" 
ant poison around the entrance, (frequently inside and out) a sugar water and boric acid 
poison, then I vacuum up the column then I mop the "trail" with double strong "floor 
cleaner" in the mop bucket to remove the "scent trail" that they follow.
