I have an amateur radio application, from Corpus Christi to Austin. It
runs 24/7, providing a VoIP duplex "link" from my repeater to other
repeaters around the state.

I have AT&T / Yahoo DSL; the other end is also DSL but "Business" grade
(not AT&T)

We also have, to add to the mix, a VPN (Hamachi). Well... excluding
Hamachi issues, the down time runs about 10 minutes/ day. Trouble is,
you never know *which* 10 minutes. Early in the morning? Or while
wanting to talk to friends during the commute hours?

My application only requires 64k up and down for 100Hz-4k mono audio,
with about 100-140 mS delay.

That's over a year of real world experience. I'd hate to have that as my
only STL. That level of reliability would be fine for a back-up path,
though.

Akami is a cool concept.
