The computer was making spitting, popping noises on recorded audio.  Our AM
PD thought it was the sound card.  Before I could check on that, smoke
started pouring out of the box.  There is no video output and who knows what
else might be wrong.  Anyway, have another computer running and I am
recovering the necessary files from the Logger HD and copying them over to
my external USB drive right now.  I expect next to grab another drive from
my pile, format and partition it and see if I can load Windows on it.  Then
move my files from the USB drive over to it.  Wish me luck.
