Gken,
Unless the motherboard is identical with what the HD was setup with, it
probably won't boot or will be way squirrley.
Just set the HD that works with the new motherboard to 'Master' and your
special drive with your data to 'Slave' and boot the machine. You can
connect both to the Primary connector.
You will find your old drive as, probably, 'E:' after the CD drive. All of
your files will be there. Your programs will not run, however, just the
ones on the replacement machine's original drive (the boot drive).
Watch that both HDs are recognized at POST (boot).
