[BC] Vista Vs. XP Vs. Win2k

I have had Vista Business edition on my new Lenovo since August 2007
(installed from the factory). I disabled UAC and set the menu bar to
"classic" in properties. I did this strait out of the box and it saved time
by not having to "learn" the menu structure and confirm that "I am sure"
every time I navigate around the OS. Vista works well in my mobile
environment and I utilize all the tools I did with XP (and more). Although
I have no complaints about vista, I would not feel comfortable inserting the
OS into my network user environment just yet.

Vista Users:

Menus
Goto Menu>properties>start menu > classic mode

Disable UAC
Goto Run>msconfig>tools>disable UAC >restart

Strait out of the box, seeing Vista, with the new menu, and the constant
nagging of "are you sure?" Vista becomes annoying. Events like that can
make a user unhappy. I think that situation gets Vista off to a "bad start"
with any user.

With the "tweaks" I made, I have been able to have a productive work
experience, as I did with XP.
