... is sadly true, based on my experience.  If I thought MS was 
really THAT smart, I'd say it's a nice scheme to double revenues by 
selling two OS packages with a lot of computers.  Vista "Home" - 
which came on a new HP I gave my girlfriend for Christmas, and a new 
copy of XP, which she's installed on it after three months of pure 
hell in Vista-Land. (I wanted to load Linux / Open Office, but she 
wasn't ready to make that transition.  And XP works fairly well, if 
you buy WinASO to clean the ever-bloating registry once a month ... :-)
