[BC] Comcast (Must Die)

Not really - My connection is Earthlink, with transport via Brighthouse
(contract provider to TimeWarner, hence the system itself is
RoadRunner/AOL). Primary email, though, is this one; Earthlink is third
or fourth down the list; I use it for stuff that might get harvested by
spambots, since they trap EVERYTHING; you have to white-list the spam
filters in order to receive anything. Earthlink and RadioXTZ.com's mail
server (secureserver.net) are paid, part of their respective packages.
Gmail is free. As is Thunderbird.

Email is ridiculously easy to set up, at least from GoDaddy (my host);
POP3 / IMAP access accounts are available all over. So, transport via
Comcr at p (you're only hosed when the cable goes down - frequently), with
your email safely on a third-party server somewhere.

I'd hesitate to run a LOCAL email server without my own T1 or better
connection, but I suppose to each his own...
