I was going to say this same thing, assuming these are PS diodes. Diode
stacks usually fail catastrophically, once they go they're gone, they won't
work for a few hours at a time. Suspect something other than the rectifiers.
Could be the filter cap, although in my experience these fail completely as
well. I'm more suspicious of the tubes than anything. They'll arc and short,
and work again when the fuse is replaced. Even if these are new tubes, tube
quality today is abysmal. NOS is no guarantee either, I've found. It appears
tubes DO age on the shelf.
