I have had mostly positive experiences with them. "Helping Hands" it's
called, and my bench wouldn't be complete without it! In fact, i used it just
today... to ... guess what?

Solder some wires to a 25-pin "D" connector!

It wasn't difficult at all. Just use a small iron, good light, "reading
glasses", and a steady hand. :)

BTW, a handy "cheat" that I use is to apply some solder to the connector pin
and to the wire. Then I can just melt them together. Success. :) I *never* put
solder in my mouth! Ugh! What I usually do is position the solder at the edge
of the bench, protruding beyond it a few inches, bent into a position where I
can easily bring the work up to meet it. Works every time. :)
