Tom - I'm doing this now, listening to Slacker.com    Also used the 
meter with whatever WABC streams with; playing media player and winamp 
files. Also monitoring off-air with a receiver connected to line in.

My set-up, PC wise:
Acer Aspire 3050 1.2g ram, 120g HD 70g free. This is a 1.8g AMD Sempron.
XP media center SP2 (essentially XP home).
Laptop has an ATI mobility video chipset, 1200 x 800 14' LCD screen 
(this is a laptop).
Sound card is a Realtek HD built in.

Just for grins, I added a $8 USB "dongle" of the cheapest possible 
quality, selected that device, and meter was quite happy to work with it 
also.

Next week I need to set up and monitor a number of in market signals and 
see who's louder! ;-)
