The application uses the standard WDM mechanism to pull the audio stream
from Windows. Beyond that, it's pretty much at the mercy of the sound
card's driver. So the fact that it didn't run on an AMD system may be
the fault of that computer's sound system and not the AMD processor. I
would welcome reports from anyone who *has* successfully run it on an
AMD system.
OK. I have an Acer Aspire 3050 laptop. Realtek HD built-in sound system
(Ha! The little internal speakers are TERRIBLE).
1.8g Mobile AMD Sempron
1.25g Ram
120g HD, 50g in use
Windows XP Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2
1024 x 800 screen 32bit hi res colors
Loaded program, fed in audio from an off-air monitor, works. Ran for
about 20 minuts, no errors or anything. I have multiple applications
open - email, browsers, picture viewer, acrobat reader, notepad, dos
prompt, palm desktop.. a few other things somewhere... oh, APRS client
and Street Atlas 9.
Using FREE AVG, and Zone Alarm. So a pretty typical "load" on this laptop.
