Actually, WMTV moved off the mountain years ago, to a 2000 foot tower near
Portland. Several years later, the generator building burned to the ground,
causing a loss of all AC power on the mountain. Both Class C FMs up there were
off the air, one sustaining damage to an antenna. Most of the staff at the
weather station was evacuated by Show Cat. Generators were brought up, and ran
the place until the new AC power could be installed.

Here in N.H. we also have WSCY, licensed to Moultonboro that's on
fulltime generator power. The way I heard the story is that the
piece of land the tx is on has no deeded right-of-way. Propane has
to be air-lifted in.
