I think you missed my point, I was commenting that the DC and AC lines are
there and it would be just like the BLM to permit a high line but not allow
distribution of 3-phase to the transmitter site.

I do find the DC transmission fascinating, and was lucky enough to visit the
Celilo Converter Station on the Pacific DC Intertie prior 2001. (The Dalles,
Oregon to Sylmar, California).

If you think about all the things you can't do since 9/11 you realize they
won and we lost. We should have thumbed our noses at "them" and gone on with
life as usual.

Maybe the next president will have enough brains to realize that we can get
back to our former level of freedom.

Just don't mess with TSA, those fine folks at the airports are so much
better, nicer, smarter and so on than the rent-a-cops we used to put up
with.
