True about News anchors unless they are also a managing editor.
As for bias, that is a misconception. If you believe that, you are
taking the whole situation too seriously. Its all about entertainment
and what will sell. If some high school kid shoots up his school, then
guns are bad that day. if someone blows away a home invader and defends
his family then guns are good, especially if the police are trying to
charge the guy. Illegal aliens are good when they are persecuted but
bad if they kill a family while driving unlicensed or if they happen to
be driving semis either legally or otherwise.
Watch anything you like on TV - entertainment, sports, or news. They are
all built with the same basic template, A scene set, the drama of the
moment, tease to the drama of the moment, commercial, reset, scene set
next new drama, tease to it, commercial etc. The content in between
doesn't make much difference.
If you take news seriously at all and you don't like what is said, it is
a liberal conspiracy if you are conservative and a right wing conspiracy
if you are liberal. In fact it is neither. It is commercially
supported content.
