It doesn't matter how old or young they are.

Most news anchors that I've known are good at reading the teleprompter 
or news copy and don't have a clue what they're talking about and read 
off contradictory stuff that common since tells you it's wrong.

As a rule most of them seem to have very limited life experiences and 
lean toward being liberal (i.e.: guns are evil, Illegal Aliens are 
wonderful).  The print media isn't any better.

We get fed so much pabulum and mind candy while significant news is 
withheld from us.
