alot has to do with the freq, the installer and his skill, the whole package
counts...

An ISP I know *was* using the LMR 400 on all of his residential AP's.  For
whatever reason, as he did in his micro-power residential apps, he strung it
across the roof of my station within 100yds of the stick. That didn't work
with a crud.  The noise that was showing up on his line was about 60% of the
signal at the downlink end.  Replacing the connectors a dozen times didn't
fix it... but going to Bedin did.  I don't remember the number I ordered for
him now, I called their bunch looking for a price break, the stuff that came
back looked like RG-8...
