[BC] Networking question:

I had a similar situation happen a few weeks ago and I'm still trying to
figure it out.
We replaced an older computer with a new one, and moved the old one to
another location. After moving it I tested it to make sure it worked
OK. This system is all DHCP.
Turned off the computer and called it a day. When a user tried to log
on, we got the same results. So far I have tried deleting and
reinstalling the NIC (on-board), different network cable, different
switch port, and replaced the NIC with another one. Same results every
time.
If you figure this out, I'll be interested to know what it is. I was
even suspicious of a Windows update that messed it up, but there were
none applied in that intervening time.

Subject: RE: [BC] Networking question:
>>One of our audio recording/editing
computers went up in smoke and I moved the hard drive and sound card
over to
another computer. Everything looked good on the workbench; I could
connect
to the internet, etc. But when I put it back in the control room it
won't
connect to the network. No servers, no internet, nothing. All I get is
"Limited or no connectability." The router shows a light when it is
plugged in, and it goes out when I unplug the cable. Running Network
Setup
Wizard doesn't get me anywhere. It's like it's giving me the wrong IP
address. What am I doing wrong here? Any input would be appreciated.<<
Bad cable or bad hub/switch port.
