"If you're used to 45 percent profit, then if you only have 20 or 30,
it feels like you're in the poor house," said Bob Papper, a professor
of journalism at Hofstra University who regularly surveys the
nation's TV and radio news directors. "KPIX is a strong station. This
is not about them. This is a CBS thing."
