I am trying to recall the actual year we went on the air from Rockwall on the
12 tower array at 5 kW nights.

I am getting rusty, but I believe that it was late fall 1968. I do recall
that after a major blow-up by ownership and after having to reduce my
techncal staff, I left KLIF and returned to WRR-AM-FM after the DA proof was done
and application for Program Test Authority was filed. In the FCC application
for license a very thin Dave Hultsman is shown holding a WX-2A in all of the
monitor point photographs.

I drove out to the site and was there with Rick Neace, my replacement, the
first night of operation at normal pattern change time for the first offical
night of programming operation.

Dave Hultsman
Jackson, MS
