And if you believe that, I have a great deal on an AM stereo radio
for you. :-/

I got a laugh out of this quote:

"Talk to almost anyone in the music business' vital indie and DJ
scenes and you'll encounter a uniformly optimistic picture of the
vinyl market."

Vital indie and DJ scene??? What's he smoking? This is a niche
market at best! So what if vinyl production is up 40% over last
year, that's like a station with a .1 increasing to a .3 claiming to
be the market's fastest growing station. True I suppose...no one
else likely tripled their audience, but they're still a bit
player. Does that mean that since WABC plays 4 hours of oldies on
Saturday nights, music radio is coming back to AM?

I for one have no clue where (outside of some over-priced specialty
shop in a major city) I'd find new vinyl. When I see a display of
45s at Walmart, then I'll believe. It'll probably be right next to
the 8 tracks.

I don't think I'll throw out my CD player quite yet.

Kind of a stretch for an analogy IMHO.
