*The Big Read Bash!*
*at the Pleasanton Public Library*
*Saturday, November 10, 2007, 8pm*

*To round off our Big Read celebration of The Maltese Falcon, we invite
the public to The Big Read Bash!, a wine and dance party at The
Pleasanton Library.*

Dancing in the stacks, wine served from the Reference Desk, vintage cars
on display, swinging jazz…this is the Pleasanton Library as you’ve never
seen it. Join us for a gala night in celebration of Pleasanton’s Big
Read. Come as you are, or dress as your favorite Maltese Falcon
character.
Music by Sara and Swingtime, a 5-piece band that specializes in swing
from the ‘30s and ’40s.
Swing dance demo and lesson by dancers from the Carla and Kevin Dance
Studio in San Francisco.
Wines from Fenestra Winery and Livermore Valley Cellars will be poured.
Tickets (adults only, please): $10.00, adults. $5.00 seniors, on sale
now at Towne Center Books and The Pleasanton Public Library.
This event is part of The Big Read, an initiative of the National
Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and
Library Services and Arts Midwest.
