>>If your computer isn't set up for automatic updates, you can use
TZEDIT to
make it change from DST to standard time and back again.<<
TZEDIT doesn't do that. The check box on the Time Zone tab of the Date
& Time applet ("Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes")
does that. TZEDIT edits *when* and *at what times* the DST adjustment
is applied, as well as how much of an adjustment to make.
The nice thing about TZEDIT is that any version from 95/NT4 on up will
work on any version of Windows from 95/NT4 on up. It doesn't spray DLL
files all over your hard drive and doesn't need registry keys in order
to run. Just an executable, a data file and a help file...about as
basic as it gets.
