[BC] Updating equipment

Not exactly... ;) Some years back, Gentner updated the software to these 
units, and wanted a tidy sum for it! Well, I complained and they were kind enough 
to send us the update anyway... but I discovered (before installing it) that 
it was horribly buggy, and a number of Engineers (on this Forum, in fact!) 
*strongly* encouraged me *not* to do the update... so I did not. Another reason I 
resisted, is that I didn't want to have to re-write all of those macros again! 
(Several years of  working-around "bugs", tweaking, refining, and 
"perfecting" went into them!)

Please note that the system has been running almost flawlessly since 1996, 
despite still running the Version 1.9c software. The *only* hitch we have to 
deal with now, is this clock-setting tomfoolery. If Congress ever rescinds this 
nonsense and puts it back to the way it was, we'd be right back to "perfect" 
again. :)

Unfortunately, Burk doesn't support the V1.9c software, so a "patch" isn't 
likely. (Unless one of their Techs takes pity on me! LOL!) I thought I had 
turned *off* the DST automation, but apparently, it defaults itself back to "on". 
SIGH.
