It could be a mixing product, but I doubt it is a mixing product
inside my radio. An Icom R75 should not have mixing products like
this, and even if it did the mixing product should not be identical
in a Sony 7600G portable :)
Furthermore, the signal is strongest when I hold my portable radio
right in front of one of the LCD monitors in my home, as well as
next to some cables (the cable going into the UPS, the VGA cables
to my monitors, a few other power cables).
Unplugging the UPS makes the interference stronger on the UPS
power cable, though. Unplugging the monitors does not make the
interference go away either - it doesn't even get weaker.
I hope it is something in my house causing the RFI and not
something that one of my neighbors has. Walking around the
house with a portable radio has not given me much insight...
