[BC] BC] so who do you count on 24 hr support?

That is pretty cryptic, but I'm wondering what you are asking.
Google has fantastic 24 hour support. We are very pleased. We don't
generally need ANY support, but they are right there when we do.
BE's Audio Vault has had pretty awful support, no DARNED AWFUL
support, even during business hours. We have even had an on-site
visit that once it was over it was discovered that 44.1 kHz sampled
audio was playing back at 48 kHz. Tech done, system FUBAR. How
stupid was that? We stopped buying their systems, but John Bissett
got involved and has been trying to resurrect their reputation with
us. The jury is still out, but they seem to be trying much harder.
With John behind it, I believe they will do better. The transmitter
side IS much better than the Audio Vault side.
Nautel has amazingly fantastic 24 hour support. I have a V1
prototype, which shipped without all the documentation. My middle of
the night calls were answered quickly and the problems immediately
addressed, including several copies of the missing documentation in
both Word and Adobe Portable Document File formats via e-mail
attachments. I need to also state that we pressed very hard for the
prototype -- it wasn't their choice to send us an early unit. They
have been fantastic.
Harris -- well, it has been quite a while, but the one time I was
helping out a friend and worked on a SX-5 I had never seen and needed
a few questions answered, they were Johnny on the spot. I have to
figure that was over 20 years ago though.
In that same time frame I had a Cetec/Sparta transmitter as well as a
Elcom/Bauer transmitter. They were essentially the same box, 20 kW
FM PAs that we ultimately pushed up to 22.5 kW. Paul Greg was, even
then, very much removed from those boxes, but he was EXTREMELY
helpful in fixing the second box, and upgrading both. He wanted to
buy back the second box when it was replaced by a new Continental
box, but it went to a friend who was upgrading his station locally.
Paul was even helpful when he didn't get the box back, and it need to
be moved more than 2 MHz up in frequency.
Studer: Well, their support on their CD players made me swear off
their products. I would never buy anything Studer.
I could go on (and on, and on), but you need to get more specific.
