[BC] Can't Get A Direct Answer

I have two APCs; one branded IBM - no excessive noise from either one.
Be sure the units are grounded properly (some wall outlets I've seen 
are NOT code; the neutral is jumpered to ground AT THE OUTLET! - 
needless to say, THAT got fixed boo-coo quick!)  They're 750 VA each; 
one's carrying the automation computer and the board, the other one's 
carrying THIS computer and the modem and LAN switch.  I get more hash 
from the monitors than the UPSs.
