Tom, everything you said is absolutely true, and makes perfect sense. Markups 
in those situations would not be considered "absurd", but justified. They 
also wouldn't add-up to 4,000 percent!

What started this whole thread was the *Absurd* markup of an item that costs 
*Fifty Cents*, up to *Twenty Dollars*! (Standard 6' USB cables) HOW in the 
*World* is *That* even *remotely* justifiable? Yeah, even in places like Wal 
Mart, USB cables are disgustingly overpriced... maybe "only" a 3,500 percent 
markup.
