Beware that a new machine may not have XP Pro drivers. You might lose 
some of the actions of function keys, pointing surface and audio. I'm 
told that Dell has downloadable drivers. You have to search deep for 
them. Only the 1520 laptop and one of the XPS desktops are available with XP.
