[BC] Transformers needed

My problem has been finding transformers at the low power 0.5kW) levels I'd like - and therefore at a cost point that's reasonable.  I can get 10:1 units at 10-15KVA easily ... but the costs are just too high for my application.

I'll try your approach in my searcxhing though ...  thanks!

2400V to 120/240V transformers should be much easier to find.
If you but 60V into the 240V side (ie- across full secondary) you
will get 600V from the 2400V primary.
Then do the opposite at the load end.  Note that the KVA rating will
be less than the xfmr's normal rating as it is limited by the max
current rating of windings regardless of the voltage.
