OK, that would work.  But, one thing that I do to keep batteries in my
radios from corroding is to put a strip of thin cardboard in between a
couple of the cells to open up the circuit.  Works fine.

A tip on the TV this morning is to have copies of your utility bills in your
bug-out bag.  That way they can know that you are the property owner and
they have the correct account numbers.  You will need reasonably current
bills, so change them out when you refresh the food.  If you have MREs, they
don't have to be exchanged as often as granola bars, though.

Yes, backups are good for flashlights -- yes, spare bulbs and batteries for
everything.

Around here, we are supposed to be ready for earthquakes.  Where you live,
it might be hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, blizzards -- whatever.  It's just
a good idea to be ready.
