Still about 2.49 seconds longer than a typical AM/FM transistor radio...

and 2-plus seconds longer than even the best solid-state radio / 
stereo system - (not counting the time delay in the high-power amp; 
headphones will bypass the anti-thump circuits)

My OTARI starts faster than that!
