[BC] Irons for silver soldering copper strap

I've never had a problem consuming excessive acetylene. I usually get
about 2.5 bottles of acetylene (B tank) to a 80cu. ft. O-2 bottle. I get a
4:1 ratio with the MC tank and 20 cu. ft. bottle used in the little caddied
kits. Granted, the MC tanks don't last long under heavy use, their life is
triple/quadruple that of a MAPP bottle.
If you're using more acetylene than MAPP with O2, there's something not right.
FWIW, I never had any luck heating strap sufficiently with MAPP alone to
flow 15% silvaloy. Which is all I use with strap 2" and above. And MAPP
is SO much more than acetylene if you purchase the gas at a welding shop.
