[BC] RF gasketing or not on old CCA

Hi Jerry:

You can get "quarter-turn captive fasteners from McMaster-Carr Supply.
630-833-0300 www.mcmaster.com They have
what seems to be all sizes and also the clips or leaf spring design nuts.
I have a CCA 25KW rig, and there has also been some pitting around the
mating surface. You might try just filing the pits down and cleaning the
metal. Replacing the fasteners around the cavity should settle things down.
It would be an interesting experiment to line the edges with wire woven RF
gasket like Harris uses in a lot of their rigs. Those CCA rigs just keep
running and are easy to repair!
