The radio in my big late model cadillac el dorado sucks on AM, its not even very sensitive, high noise floor in the car itself I think.....all kinds of noise on AM. I can barely bare to listen to AM in my cadillac, and AM is my favorite mode. However I have a chevy van 2005 and it has an excellent el cheapo AM radio in it. Not as good as it could be but certainly sensitive enough and pretty darn good sounding for van use.
