When 96.3 here in Los Angeles changed format from Spanish to churban, their
landlord (another LA station) kicked them off of Flint Peak. They had to move
to the less desirable Verdugo Peak.

There's a story that goes back in this market - long before my time -
about a station that was renting tower space from the country station
in the market.
Said station decided to flip to country - and less than an hour into
the flip, its transmitter was turned off by its landlord.
Its my understanding that said station anticipated this - and was
able to resume broadcasting quickly from an emergency site.
