[BC] Problem with win 2000 startup group

Hello:

I have two windows 2000 machines that have startup icons in the startup group 
when you open startup from the desktop.

I went into Documents and Settings and there are three profiles there, BEI, 
Administrator, and All users. I chcked unter Start Menu -> Startup in all of 
those user profiles. They are all EMPTY!  What's the deal?

This is an issue because I have an AudioVault system that is down, and I'm 
trying to restore my startup icons from backup, and I cannot seem to find where 
they are supposed to go.

I have two different windows 2000 machines that are doing the same thing. 
Both of these machines seem to be working fine. 

Why is the startup group empty on these computers?
