Now, what's odd is that about a week before KDJQ went silent, there
was a post looking for people of all positions for a new "oldies
startup" in the Boise area.
KDJQ was running spanish and if the sale had gone through, it
would've continued running spanish. The owner doesn't want to program
it, so I doubt he would've hried someone knowing he was going to sell it.
KDJQ was oldies before the flip to spanish under Churchhill media..
so I always wondered who placed that ad.
I think $800,000 land or not is a good deal for a 50KW. Sure, it
won't cover Boise too well at night, but it does a superb job at
covering the market by day.
Apparently, however, they diplex off the towers of another AM'er,
owned by Citadel. Through that agreement/lease, according to someone
on another list. .Citadel has said while 890khz is diplexing off
their towers, the station can only program oldies or
spanish............ and I think the person who made the comments
seems to know what theyre talking about.
A station in Iowa.. a Class A FM was for sale on Ebay about a month
ago, for just over $1million I think. I've seen AM CP's for sale on
Ebay as well.. and there's been an LPTV in Muskeegon, MI for sale on
Ebay on and off for years.

And I'm not talking about the makings for a low power pirate. The owners
of 50KW KDJQ-AM in Boise, Idaho have listed the station on Craig's List.
The sale is featured on a Boise TV station's website:
