Steve:
I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday..... so here ya go.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I celebrate my 24th birthday almost exactly a month after my 4th year
radio anniversary! I'm tryin to get a bigger, nicer combined Radio
Anniversary/Birthday Present from my Mom and Dad back in Connecticut.
.but, alas, I don't know if it'll work, lol.
And yes, radio has been a bumpy ride for me in the past, and it will
be again.. but that's what makes it a bit fun! I may not have the
worlds best voice (I know I do).. but I still love what I do, and
that's half the battle!
As for what I'll do on either of my "special days".. I'll probably
just hang out at home.

Congrats Paul...
I can't believe this past just June I entered the business 46 years ago.
Well, being this is my birthday today, I would have been 15 and a half years
old. I had a weekend show on one of San Francisco's first Stereo stations,
KMPX-FM. This eventually became the station where Tom Donahue gave birth to
what became known as "Underground Radio". I then moved on to KSFR-FM as a
board op. This is where I learned Classical music announcing from the best
of them. (not to mention the audio)
I think at this point I'm going to pull the "I've got to be there every day"
part of my life plug and work totally out of my home studio. Enough already.
Plus, (and gentlemen allow me this one) radio just ain't what is used to be.
I know there are those who might buck me on this one but that's where I'm at
on the matter and I only ask you give me a bashing break day on this, my
62nd.
