[BC] Silence Sensor

To All:

I am not sure where I am in the thread on this subject but I wanted to make
the group aware of the fact that we make two different products that have
silence sensors built in to them. Our CDS-302 composite audio switcher/DA
has one and so does our AES-302 Digital Audio Switcher/DA. The status
outputs can be used for silence sensor detection if desired. The AES-302 has
an analog output for confidence monitoring and the CDS-302 can be ordered
with an optional stereo decoder module for the same purpose.

Jim, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying, "We feel your pain"... but the answer

to that question is a four-letter-word: "TIME". Rather, the lack thereof.

Unless someone wishes to do this as a *hobby* project (or they are an 
Engineer/Owner) it's not likely to be worth their time to build from
scratch, w
hen 
ready-made units are inexpensive & ready-to-go.
