The tower you are asking about is 50,000 watt WSB AM750.
This tower used to be in a typical "field" setting. In the late 70's, Cox 
sold the land surrounding the tower to a developer. This was during the 
period where many broadcasting executives had pretty much "given up" on AM. 
It was the typical "the land is worth more than the station." argument.
Engineering work was done which made clear the project would work. Field 
strength measurements, I'm told, verified that the signal was not degraded.
All the structural steel in every surrounding building is physically 
connected to the ground system.
A good electrical storm at night can create quite a display in that parking 
lot! WSB should sell tickets......
