IBOC received preliminary FCC approval in 2002.  It has now been five
years since then, and aside from a change in codecs and the addition of FM
HD2 channels, the system is basically the same as it was back then, and
still has all the same flaws.  How much more time should we wait for
improvements to be made, all the while iBiquity grows richer, until we
give up on it?

Just like the Digital Compact Cassette (DCC), sometimes adding "Digital"
to an existing analog medium just isn't the right idea -- an
unfortunately, we may not realize that until it's too late to save the
medium itself.
