Does anyone know where I can find a couple of 4X150D tubes? I just
received
a military-surplus transmitter that I plan to modify for ham radio use, and
it has all tubes except the 150's.

 Thanks.

Try fair radio sales. The other place to try is Surplus Sales of Nebraska
(but be prepared to dig deep into your wallet). There are also some surplus
tube dealers on the internet. Please write back to us if you run into
problems. I think I have some URLs for tube distributors I can give you if you
need
them.

Also 4X150A tubes and 4X150D tubes differ in filament voltage. The 4X150D
requiring 26.5 volts. Not knowing what kind of radio you have, you might consid
er
converting to 6.3 Volts. Then you could use 4CX250B tubes and likely save
big $$$'s

Good luck with your project!
