[BC] 4X150D

Their interelectrode capacitence is a bit different. I discovered this working
on a Harris 2.5 kW FM transmitter, the driver's tuning was really touchy and
unstable-until I discovered they had put a 4CX250B into the unit instead of a
4X150. Putting the proper tube in eliminated all instability.

Paul,

I think you can use the 4CX250 in the same socket as a replacement if
you cannot find any 150's. There should be lots of those laying around
at site that have Gates 20H3 transmitters, and Harris FM20K's.

Does anyone know where I can find a couple of 4X150D tubes? I just
received a military-surplus transmitter that I plan to modify for ham
radio use, and it has all tubes except the 150's.

Thanks.

Paul Gray.
