Don't tell that to the homies with their thumpin' car systems. They have
home systems to match.
That said, there is plenty of proof in years gone by that people as they
age do want something better. Gen X'rs are buying the "new generation" of
home theaters and related goodies. The only difference between then and
now is the HD TV and movies are now the prime media. Not LP's or CD's.
along with VHS Hi-Fi.
The form factor is going towards a computer GUI with a remote set of
electronics and related equipment. Walk up to the flat screen and punch
what you want to do. Before we know it, the remote will also be a touch
screen that matches the main controller.
