I am not sure whether the LED traffic lights generatie noise because they
are LED, or because they are switched with triacs instead of relays. I
would think that the former would be more reliable. Anyway, yes, I would
support your proposal, and even have some high-power AM stations on the
long-wave band. Fewer people navigate by the NDB's there, preferring to use
GPS or even VORTAC, and those old longwave beacons are being closed down all
the time. It would be nice to put that portion of the spectrum to use, as
receivers for that band are available. It's not like new receivers would
have to be designed. Were you suggesting that the smaller AM's be digital
in a new band, AM, or FM?
