You can upload AM/FM/TV transmitter locations to many Garmin mapping GPS
receivers. These include most Street Pilot, Nuvi, Zumo and Quest models.
Garmin provides a free "POI Loader" program to upload Custom Points of
Interest [CSV] files to your GPS.

1) Obtain my AMSTNS and/or TVFMSTNS program(s) and recent FCC data from
Larry Vehorn's site http://home.earthlink.net/~lvehorn

2) Select the station(s) of interest and output a <name>.TXT file to
C:\_STNS by pressing F6 then R . C:\_STNS will be created if it doesn't
already exist.

3) Obtain TXT2CSV.EXE (beta) from my site
http://users.erols.com/rcarpen/ This translates a <name>.TXT file to a
<name>.CSV file and puts it in C:\_STNS. This program can be placed
anywhere since it contains the C:\_STNS path for files.

4) I suggest that you create a subdirectory in C:\_STNS for the CSV
files you want to upload since POILoader uploads _all_ the CSV files in
the subdirectory/folder you choose. Copy the CSV files you want to
upload into this subdirectory and then use Garmin's POILOADER.EXE.

This may look complex, but it isn't.
run xxSTNS and select station(s)
output TXT file(s)
run TXT2CSV
copy CSV file(s) to upload folder
run POILOADER

I could change TXT2CSV to place all of its output in an "upload" folder,
but this would mean uploading everything every time POILOADER was run.
I'd like feedback on this choice.
